Electrodes are attached to chest,hips,shoulders and connected to the machine. 3. EKG(Electro Kardio Gram) or ECG is recorded on the paper. Movement of treadmill: The treadmill is then started at a relatively slow speed. It's slope or inclination are increased every three minutes . The patient's blood pressure is recorded at regular intervals. Preparation for any stress treadmill test: 1. Should not eat or drink for three hours before the test. Diabetic patients need specific instructions from the doctor in this regard. 2. You may have to stop some of the heart medicines one or two days prior to the stress test as per doctors advice. 3. Patients should wear comfortable clothes and shoes during test. 4. The entire test may take about one hour.
